England carried on from where they left off at The Rose Bowl,Southampton as they dominated day one of the fourth Test. Anderson and Broad laid the foundation as they ripped through the Indian batting line-up with exceptional swing bowling. Broad went on to scalp 6 wickets as India were bundled out for 152. England lost the openers early but then Ballance and Bell steadied the ship with a 77-run stand. England trail by just 39 runs and they would look to pile on a sizable lead tomorrow. Bell is still at the crease on 45*.
