MISS! Yuvraj Valmiki has space in the D and snaps off a reverse stick shot with plenty of power but it is wide of the right hand post. India inches away from taking the lead.
FYI, a draw is a poor result for both teams.
53 mins: India break into the England D from the right and the cross is fired in to the far post, where Mandeep is sadly not alert to the opportunity and the chance is gone.
54 mins: Sardar Singh leads the break again and shows good stick control but tries to take on too many defenders and loses the ball just outside the England D.
55 mins: Mandeep shows excellent dribbling skills to get past three England defenders and earns a free hit outside the D. Nothing comes of it though.
We heard into the final 15 minutes with everything still even.
57 mins: India give the ball away in a dangerous position but Raghunath is alert and prevents England from getting around the defense and the ball runs out of play.
57 mins: Sreejesh dives full length to intercept a fierce cross from the right and prevent a diving Gleghorne from getting on the end of it. That was almost the second goal for England.
58 mins: England win a long corner. India looking tired and sitting deep now.
The corner meanders into nothing, however.
Here is video of Yuvraj's narrow miss:
60 mins: India break again but Sardar Singh can't find the final ball and England recover.
India come forward again and win a long corner.
63 mins: A lazy dribble from Sardar Singh as he ghosts past a number of England defenders and into the D but his shot is deflected over the crossbar. A fantastic bit of individual skill and so nearly the game winner.
65 mins: SAVE! Mandeep Singh gets a snap reverse shot away but the England goalie is in the right place and keeps the ball out. Mandeep gets a second crack off the rebound but this inches wide. England breathe a huge sigh of relief.
66 mins: England get the ball in the goal but it won't count as Mantell doesn't react fast enough and fails to get a touch on it.
67 mins: India come forward again but Sardar Singh's cross lacks power and is easily intercepted.
Less than three minutes to go now.
Penalty corner for England
India sat back and let England drives into the D. A horrible tackle leads to the PC.
India ask for the video referral but the decision is upheld. It was a foul.
GOAL! Sreejesh produces a spectacular save to defend the initial corner but Simon Mantell seizes the rebound and produces a superb reverse shot with an upright stick and it crashes into the back of the goal.
Mantell has just won it for England.
Less than 30 seconds to go.
India continue to be unable to solve the problem of conceding late goals.
AND ENGLAND HAVE BEATEN INDIA 2 -1.
Another crushing defeat in the final minutes. These are inexplicable lapses.
India had more shots and more circle penetrations but again came up just short.
The India team is a sea of despondent faces.
Mantell says those kind of goals are just reaction. Either it comes off or it doesn't.
Mantell says India is a very dangerous team and Walsh has a done a very good job. He thinks they could upset one of the more favoured teams later in the tournament but that is no consolation for India.
England jump up to second in the table but Belgium can go ahead of them if they win their game later today.
India's next game is on Thursday against Spain. That is an absolute must win game now.
